Terms of Use
Last updated: June 17, 2026
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Pipper (“Pipper,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of the Pipper mobile app, the Pipper Apple TV app, the Pipper admin and display websites, and pip-per.com (together, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet these requirements.
2. Accounts
To host a reveal you may need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@pip-per.com if you suspect unauthorized use. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
3. The Service
Pipper lets you build an interactive quiz, invite guests, pair a phone and a TV, and reveal a result in real time. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or infringing.
- Upload content you do not have the rights to use, or that is illegal, hateful, harassing, or obscene.
- Enter another person’s email address or personal information without their permission — including when inviting guests.
- Send spam or unsolicited messages through the invitation feature.
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access.
- Interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or place undue load on the Service.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or resell it without our permission.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the quizzes, images, text, and other content you create or upload (“Your Content”). You grant Pipper a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your guests. You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the rights and any necessary consents to use it (including images of people and guests’ email addresses). We may remove content that violates these Terms.
6. Payments, add-ons & refunds
Some features are offered as paid add-ons. Prices are shown before purchase. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor, and by purchasing you also agree to that processor’s terms. Add-on purchases are one-time charges that unlock the corresponding feature on your account.
Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@pip-per.com. We may change our prices and add-on offerings at any time; changes do not affect purchases already made.
7. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, logos, and the “Pipper” name, is owned by Pipper and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own gender-reveal events in accordance with these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
8. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party service providers (for cloud hosting and database, payment processing, email delivery, and analytics) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. The Apple TV and iOS apps are also subject to the terms of the platform you obtained them from (for example, Apple’s App Store terms).
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT A REVEAL WILL RUN WITHOUT ISSUE ON YOUR HARDWARE OR NETWORK.
10. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PIPPER AND ITS OWNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR USD $50. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Pipper and its owners from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or the rights of others.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as content licenses you’ve granted, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnities) will survive.
13. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that the state and federal courts located in Texas will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not subject to arbitration or small-claims court, and you consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
